A seasoned banking professional with more than 27 years of experience, Malik Muhammad Babar Ayyaz has assumed charge as President and CEO of the Bank of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (BAJK).

Babar Ayyaz joins BAJK after nearly 17 years with The Bank of Punjab, where he held senior leadership roles, most recently heading Commercial Banking and Agriculture.
His expertise spans corporate and commercial banking, SME finance, Islamic banking, strategic planning, business transformation and priority-sector lending.
Strong academic background
Babar Ayyaz holds an Executive MBA (EMBA) from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He completed the programme between 2021 and 2023 and was placed on the Dean’s Honour Roll, reflecting his academic performance.
He is also publicly identified as an alumnus of LUMS’s Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB).
The combination of extensive industry experience and executive-level education adds further depth to the professional profile he brings to BAJK.
