Indian renowned musician A. R. Rahman‘s guitarist, Mohini Dey, has expressed her frustration over rumors linking her divorce to A. R. Rahman.
Recently, news about the divorce of A. R. Rahman and his wife spread on social media, and within hours, Mohini Dey, a guitarist in Rahman’s group, also announced her separation from her husband. Following this, users of social media began linking the two divorces.

Guitarist Mohini had shared on her Instagram story that she had been receiving numerous interview requests and she knew what they were about. She expressed that she was declined all of them because she had no interest in fueling baseless rumors.
According to media reports, Mohini Dey has now issued a recent statement in which she says, “I have many individuals in my life who are like fathers to me, who have been role models in my life. I am truly fortunate and grateful for the important role they played in my upbringing, and AR Rehman is one of them, whom I hold in great esteem.”

The guitarist further said , “A. R. Rahman is like a father to me, in fact, he is just a little younger than my father. His daughter is the same age as me, and we have love and respect for each other in our hearts.”Mohini Day added that ” I worked with his band for almost 8 years, and I moved to the U.S. five years ago where I am currently working. Please respect our privacy, this is a personal matter, and don’t interfere in it.”
