A newly released congressional testimony has revealed that Bill Gates admitted to extramarital affairs with three women while addressing questions linked to Jeffrey Epstein investigations in the United States.
According to multiple international media reports, the Microsoft co-founder disclosed the relationships during a closed-door interview with the US House Oversight Committee as part of an ongoing probe into Jeffrey Epstein’s network and connections.
Reports said Gates identified the women as Russian bridge player Mila Antonova, nuclear physicist Karima Nigmatulina, and medical entrepreneur Dr Alice Jacobs Nesselrodt.
During the testimony, Gates reportedly claimed Epstein may have attempted to use knowledge of the affairs to pressure or potentially blackmail him, although he denied any criminal wrongdoing or direct involvement in Epstein’s activities.
The testimony transcript, released by the House Oversight Committee, showed Gates acknowledging that his association with Epstein was “a grave error in judgment.”
International reports stated that Gates met Epstein several times between 2011 and 2014, years after Epstein had already faced legal troubles related to sex crimes. Gates has repeatedly said he met Epstein mainly for philanthropic discussions and fundraising opportunities for global health projects.
The revelations have reignited public scrutiny of Gates’ past relationship with Epstein and added fresh controversy to the billionaire philanthropist’s personal life years after his 2021 divorce from Melinda French Gates.
Gates also denied allegations contained in previously leaked Epstein-related emails, calling some claims “absolutely absurd and completely false,” according to earlier reports.
