RAWALPINDI: A local court has announced its verdict in the high-profile Majid Satti murder case, sentencing three convicts, including Farrukh Khokhar, to life imprisonment after finding them guilty.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Afsha Ijaz Soofi delivered the judgment in the case registered at Sadiqabad Police Station. The court acquitted one accused, Waseem, citing insufficient evidence.
Following the verdict, the three convicted men were taken into custody inside the courtroom. Farrukh Khokhar had been out on bail, while the other two convicts were brought to court from jail for the hearing.
A large number of the victim’s family members and supporters were present at the Judicial Complex during the announcement of the verdict. Supporters of the accused also gathered at the premises.
Authorities enforced strict security measures to maintain law and order. Armed individuals and vehicles were prohibited from entering the Judicial Complex, and all visitors underwent security screening before being allowed inside.
The murder case was originally registered at Sadiqabad Police Station on August 8, 2022, and the trial concluded after extensive court proceedings.
