Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore has summoned renowned playwright Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar to testify in the high-profile honey trap kidnapping-for-ransom case. The case, which has garnered significant public interest, involves the alleged abduction of Qamar by a group accused of luring him into a trap for ransom.

Judge Arshad Javed of the ATC conducted the hearing and directed Khalil-ur-Rahman Qamar, the plaintiff in the case, to appear in court tomorrow to record his statement. The accused, including Amna and Hassan Shah, were brought to court from jail. The police had registered a case against them at Sundar Police Station, following a complaint filed by Qamar. In his complaint, he alleged that he was lured into a honey trap and subsequently kidnapped for ransom. The Lahore High Court has already directed the lower court to expedite the case and deliver a verdict at the earliest.
