A few days ago, an incident at Islamabad Airport started a lot of discussion. The husband of a woman who works at the house of senior journalist Talat Hussain was stopped and offloaded from a flight. Like many ordinary people, he suddenly faced a problem at the airport and was not allowed to travel.
After this, Talat Hussain made a phone call to the Prime Minister House. Following that call, the issue was given to Syed Tauqeer Shah to handle. The call was so powerful that even the DG FIA could not ignore it. The DG FIA himself went to the FIA Melody Office in Islamabad to check the matter personally.
In the end, the man was allowed to go. This showed that when someone is meant to travel, it becomes very hard to stop them—especially when strong influence is involved.
This incident gives an important message to the public. If you want to live easily in this country, your phone call needs to be strong enough to shake the system. Without influence, many people continue to face problems like offloading and delays without any help.
The incident also raises a big question. If this man had no link to a well-known journalist, would the response have been the same? Would a common citizen get attention from such high offices?
Many people are now saying this is a clear example of “jiska qalam, uski bhains.” It means those with power, contacts, and a strong voice can make things happen, while normal people suffer.
This story shows that journalists are no longer just reporting the news. They have become powerful figures too. Many believe the system will only improve when rules are the same for everyone, no matter who they are or who they know.
