An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad has granted a 3-day physical remand for Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Ali Wazir and human rights activist lawyer Imaan Mazari.
They were arrested following a controversial speech at a recent PTM rally, and they are facing charges of sedition, intimidation, and incitement.
The arrests were made two days after a public meeting, organised by the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM). Wazir, a PTM member, and Imaan had both addressed the rally. Videos circulating on social media showed speakers criticising the military establishment over enforced disappearances.

Both Imaan and Wazir were granted a three-day remand.
Imaan’s mother, former human rights minister Shireen Mazari, expressed concerns about her daughter’s well-being, stating that Imaan had gone on a hunger strike and that her life could be in danger in jail.
