Instagram brings back pinned comments feature for creators, giving them more control over how their posts are seen. The feature allows creators to pin their own comments on Reels. This makes it easier for followers to find important updates or extra details directly from the creator.
A few months ago, many users noticed that they could no longer pin their own comments. They could still pin comments from others, but not their own. This led to confusion and complaints on social media. One Reddit user even shared that while they were able to pin other people’s comments, they could not pin their own anymore.
Now, Instagram is re-launching the pinned comments feature for creators. The update was confirmed by Instagram head Adam Mosseri. He explained that this change will help creators highlight context or start discussions. It will also ensure that their key messages do not get lost in the flood of comments.
The pinned comments feature was first introduced in 2020. Back then, it was mainly for pinning positive comments from other users. But now, the focus is on helping creators guide the conversation on their content. With this update, creators can make sure their most important points stay visible at the top of the comment section.
This new step shows Instagram’s effort to empower creators. It gives them a stronger voice and allows them to better connect with their followers.
