Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi met with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shafqat Mahmood to discuss the upcoming general elections and ease political tensions.
PTI’s most senior leader Shafqat Mehmood expressed concerns to Caretaker Information Minister about unequal electioneering opportunities and political victimization following the May 9 riots.
The meeting aimed to ensure transparent and fair elections, equal opportunities for political parties, and greater national consensus.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Solangi assured that the interim government would provide a level playing field for all parties, including PTI.

Mahmood emphasized the importance of free, fair, impartial, and transparent elections with equal opportunities for participation.
The caretaker minister clarified that the meeting was with an old friend and not a political discussion.
By the way, this is really strange to see senior PTI leader Shafqat Mehmood who has been silent since last so many months and PTI didn’t see any activity from his side. Neither did he appear on TV screens nor did he ever protest the suppression of PTI and its leaders.
