Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Israeli military targets in southern Lebanon, marking a fresh escalation in cross-border hostilities.
In a statement posted on Telegram, the Iran-backed group said it targeted an Israeli military bulldozer with artillery fire in the southeastern outskirts of Yahmar al-Shaqif.
Hezbollah added that a second bulldozer in the same area was later struck with a guided missile.
The group also reported launching shells and rockets at Israeli troops and military vehicles near Yahmar al-Shaqif and Ainata.
According to Hezbollah, an Israeli Hermes 450-Zik drone operating over the Tuffah region was targeted with a surface-to-air missile, forcing the aircraft to retreat from the area.
The attacks came after Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Earlier, an Israeli strike in the Sidon district reportedly killed two people and injured 10 others. In the city of Tyre, the death toll from an Israeli attack near a Red Cross center rose to five, while eight people, including four medical workers, were wounded.
The latest developments highlight the continuing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, where exchanges of fire have intensified amid the broader regional conflict.
