Senior journalist and anchorperson of show ” Capital Talk” Hamid Mir revealed that on November 26, PTI workers were shot at and people were injured.
In an interview with Voice of America (VOA), Hamid Mir stated that he was an eyewitness and that the PTI workers were unarmed. He added that this is the government’s victory, not PTI’s defeat.
Senior journalist Hamid Mir also mentioned that an order was issued at their office, Geo News Islamabad, to turn off the lights and leave, with a directive not to broadcast anything. Shortly after, the firing took place.

He warned that the authorities should be concerned when even the workers start picking up guns. The Pakistan establishment and the government need to take heed. He emphasized that PTI will not be crushed by oppression, but will instead grow stronger. He also stated that the perception that people from province Punjab would not come to Islamabad was wrong, as Punjab had essentially been turned into a prison. Anyone who thinks there will be no protests or sit-ins is being irrational.
