Get ready, Pixel enthusiasts! Circle October 4th on your calendars, because Google has just spilled the beans about its highly anticipated annual Made by Google hardware event.

All signs point to a thrilling showcase of new devices, including the much-awaited Google Pixel 8.

The official media invitation, dispatched on August 30th, brings exciting news of an in-person Made by Google event set to illuminate the latest additions to the Pixel family. Staying true to tradition, the event will unfold amidst the vibrant backdrop of New York City.

Kicking off at 10 am ET / 7 am PT, the Made by Google keynote is likely to follow the familiar pattern of previous years. The live broadcast can be accessed through the Google Store website and the Made by Google YouTube channel, giving tech enthusiasts the front-row experience.

Interestingly, this announcement comes right on the heels of Apple’s confirmation of its September event on September 12th, setting the stage for an exhilarating season of major product unveilings.

The spotlight at the Made by Google event will undeniably be on the Google Pixel 8 and its counterpart, the Google Pixel 8 Pro. These upcoming releases are set to inject fresh vigor into the esteemed Pixel lineup, powered by the sleek Android 14 as their operating system.

Early glimpses have already offered a peek at the designs of these devices. Notably, the Pixel 8 Pro even made a brief cameo on a Google Store page before being swiftly retracted. Leaked images and videos have given us tantalizing hints—expect flat displays accompanied by gently rounded corners.

Beneath the surface, the 8 series is anticipated to house the formidable Tensor G3 chipset, representing a noteworthy advancement from the previous Tensor G2. Enthusiasts can eagerly await insights into the enhanced performance and capabilities that this in-house chip is poised to deliver.

While the buzz centers on the 8 lineup and the Pixel Watch 2, whispers abound about the unveiling of the Google Pixel Watch 2. This much-anticipated sequel is rumored to feature an upgraded processor, extended battery life, and the addition of ultra-wideband support. Furthermore, whispers of enriched wellness features making their debut hint at an elevated smartwatch experience.

Yet, amid the spotlight on the Pixel 8 series and Pixel Watch 2, Google might still have some surprises up its sleeve. Will new earbuds make a dazzling entrance? Could there be enticing teases about forthcoming products, reminiscent of the Pixel Tablet teaser from the previous Made by Google event?

As the countdown to October 4th gets underway, tech aficionados and dedicated Pixel devotees are in for an event that pledges innovation, excitement, and a grand display of Google’s finest in hardware technology.
