As per an official from SNGPL, consumers in these areas will experience a gas outage lasting 12 hours on October 5th, from 8 am to 8 pm. This disruption in gas supply is essential for the maintenance and improvement of gas pipelines in Sector F-8.
In a press statement, residents in the mentioned sectors were advised to arrange for alternative energy sources during this period. SNGPL also cautioned against the use of gas-powered appliances during the maintenance work.
Meanwhile, the interim government is anticipated to raise gas prices in response to demands from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which has requested a 45-50 percent increase in gas prices.
