Fawad Khan is set to star opposite Ayeza Khan in an upcoming film, sparking excitement and debate as fans question the unexpected pairing in a major new project.
MEDIABITES – Entertainment Desk
Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan is making headlines once again — this time over his on-screen pairing in an upcoming film project that has already sparked intense fan discussion.
The actor will be seen opposite Ayeza Khan in a new film directed by Nadeem Baig, marking their first major collaboration. The project is generating buzz not only for its casting but also for breaking a long-standing trend, as it will be Nadeem Baig’s first film without frequent collaborator Humayun Saeed in the lead.
A fresh on-screen pairing
Fawad Khan, known for iconic dramas such as Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, and Ayeza Khan, celebrated for hits like Meray Paas Tum Ho and Chupke Chupke, have long been fan favorites. However, despite their popularity, the two have never shared the screen in a major drama or film — until now.
Their pairing has been described as “refreshing” by many fans, who have been eager to see a new on-screen chemistry emerge in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Fans divided over casting
While excitement is high, the casting has also triggered debate on social media. A section of fans expressed disappointment, saying they had hoped to see Fawad Khan reunite with Mahira Khan, given their iconic pairing in past projects.
Others, however, welcomed the new combination, calling it a bold and much-needed change in casting dynamics.
Industry significance
The project is being viewed as a significant shift in Pakistan’s film landscape, both in terms of casting choices and directorial direction.
With a strong fan base backing both stars and a high-profile director at the helm, the film is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases — with one key question dominating conversations:
Will this new pairing redefine on-screen chemistry, or leave fans longing for the classics?
