In Sheikhupura’s Farooqabad Police Headquarters, a dispute over duty check led to the awful deaths of two police officers.
According to police reports, Security Officer Inspector Muhammad Afzal noted Constable Muhammad Tahir’s absence from his assigned duty. When the inspector officially recorded the constable’s absence, a heated exchange ensued between the two. Enraged, Constable Tahir allegedly shot and killed Inspector Afzal. He then turned the gun on himself, committing suicide.
Authorities confirmed that Constable Tahir was stationed outside the Principal’s Office at the PC Training School, and the incident occurred during routine duty verification.
