Kristina Joksimovic, former model and Miss Switzerland finalist, was reportedly murdered, and her body was dismembered and dissolved by her husband Thomas, causing shock in Switzerland.
In February of this year, the body of the 38-year-old model was discovered at their residence in Binningen, close to Basel.
During a crime reenactment, Thomas, aged 41, admitted to the killing but argued that it was in self-defense as his wife had come at him with a knife. Nevertheless, a post-mortem examination showed that Kristina was killed by being strangled.
As per local news source BZ Basel, Thomas used a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears to mutilate Kristina’s body in their laundry room. He reportedly utilized a handheld mixer to “blend” her body parts and melted them in a liquid solution.
Thomas was taken into custody the day following the discovery of Kristina’s body. At first, he claimed he stumbled upon her deceased and then in a frantic state, he dismembered her remains. Nonetheless, the court rejected his request for freedom, pointing to his admission of guilt and the horrific details of the offense.
Kristina Joksimovic excelled as a catwalk coach while also being a mother of two. In 2007, she won the title of Miss Northwest Switzerland and was a finalist in the Miss Switzerland competition.
