The Miss Universe Pakistan competition is under the ownership of the Dubai-based Yugen Group, which also holds franchise rights for Miss Universe Bahrain and Miss Universe Egypt. However, this year’s Miss Universe Pakistan competition sparked controversy on social media, with concerns raised over Pakistan’s representation in the international Miss Universe contest. The government denied giving approval for such representation.
