Psychologist Seeks Legal End to Marriage
Social activist and psychologist Dr. Nabiha Ali has formally approached a Family Court seeking khula, requesting the legal dissolution of her marriage to her husband, Haris Khokhar.
The petition has been filed through her legal representative, Advocate Chaudhry Mudassar, who submitted the case before the court on her behalf. The matter is now expected to proceed through Pakistan’s family court system, where both parties will have an opportunity to present their positions.
Petition Contains Serious Allegations
According to the court filing, Dr. Nabiha Ali has accused her husband of repeatedly subjecting her to physical and emotional abuse during their marriage.
