Priyanka Chopra spoke candidly about her nose surgery and how it impacted her mental health in an interview with SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show.
The actress revealed that she underwent the doctor-recommended procedure to remove a polyp from her nasal cavity early in her career, but the surgery did not go as planned and her face looked completely different afterwards.
Priyanka said that the botched surgery led to a deep depression, and she was subsequently fired from three films, leading her to believe her career was over before it began. However, her father, Ashok Chopra, encouraged her to get a corrective surgery, and he was by her side throughout the procedure, helping her rebuild her confidence.
Priyanka has been busy lately with the promotion of Citadel, her Met Gala appearance, and the premiere of Love Again, where she stars alongside Sam Heughan, Celine Dion, and Nick Jonas in a cameo. She is also set to star in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
The actress is known for her versatility and has appeared in many Hollywood projects, including The Matrix Resurrections, Baywatch, and The White Tiger. Priyanka is the first South Asian woman to headline the cast of an American television show, Quantico, and continues to make waves in the entertainment industry.
