Rima Bint Manna Rashid, a brave 21-year-old woman, heroically saved her brothers’ lives but lost her own in a terrible accident at Haswa Mountains in Rijal Almaa. Tragedy struck a family from Asir region during their vacation in the southern region of Saudi Arabia.
As the family reached the peak of the high mountains, the father parked the car and stepped out with one of his sons. However, a tragic mishap occurred when the vehicle began rolling backward towards the slope. Without hesitation, Rima took swift action to protect her brothers. She courageously threw each of them out of the moving car, sparing them from harm.
While two of her brothers were fortunate to escape unharmed, the youngest, an 11-year-old, suffered critical injuries and required intensive care. Tragically, Rima, despite being close to the door and having the opportunity to escape, chose to stay inside the car to save her siblings. The vehicle plunged from the top of the mountain with Rima still inside, eventually coming to rest in the valley below.
Saudi media revealed that Rima had recently graduated and was interning at King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, eagerly preparing for her upcoming job there. Her selfless act of bravery and sacrifice has left a deep impact on her family, friends, and the entire nation, mourning the loss of a young life with a promising future.
Rima’s heroic actions will be remembered as an inspiring example of love and devotion for years to come. The family’s vacation, meant for joy and relaxation, turned into a heart-wrenching tragedy, but Rima’s selflessness and love for her brothers have touched the hearts of many.
