After being arrested for carrying drugs hidden in a trophy, Bollywood actress Chrisann Pereira was released from Sharjah jail.
Following her family’s allegations that she had been framed, investigations revealed that a man named Paul had orchestrated the scheme in revenge against Pereira’s mother. Pereira, who has appeared in films such as Sadak 2 and Batla House, was arrested earlier this month in connection with the drug-smuggling case. The Mumbai Crime Branch also arrested two individuals accused of planting the drugs to frame Pereira.
