Bitcoin Surges to $64,000 as Bullish Sentiment Prevails Among Investors

Bitcoin (BTC) has once again surpassed the $60,000 mark, reaching its highest level in over two years. The surge is fueled by ongoing bullish sentiment among investors, with institutional adoption playing a significant role as cryptocurrencies gain mainstream acceptance.

As BTC crossed the $60,000 threshold, it marks an all-time high, reflecting a remarkable 963 percent increase over the last year. The coin touched $61,044, showcasing its continued rally amid growing adoption by major companies and financial institutions.

In Wednesday’s trading, Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, experienced a significant milestone by hovering around $60,000 for the first time in over two years, representing a 7 percent increase.

The cryptocurrency’s impressive performance is attributed to a steady upward trend since the beginning of 2024, resulting in nearly a doubling of its price. With the latest surge, Bitcoin’s total market capitalization stands at around $1.19 trillion.

BTC has outpaced major stock indexes such as Coinbase, MicroStrategy, and Marathon Digital, which also saw notable gains in morning trading. The surge comes after US regulators approved spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), providing investors with easier and direct access to the digital currency.

Currently, Bitcoin is less than $9,000 away from reaching a new all-time high, showcasing its resilience and continued upward trajectory. In terms of conversion, 1 Bitcoin (BTC) is equivalent to 17,527,304 Pakistani Rupees (PKR).
