After a record drop in solar panel prices, the cost of solar batteries has also significantly decrease in Pakistan.
According to a report by private news channel Geo News, the prices of lithium and tubular solar batteries have fallen by 20%. A lithium solar battery previously priced at PKR 450,000 is now available for PKR 380,000, while the cost of a tubular battery has decreased from PKR 70,000 to PKR 55,000.
The rising temperatures, high-budget electricity, and frequent power outages across the country have led many people to install solar panel systems in their homes. This price discount will not only make renewable energy solutions more accessible to the public but will also contribute to mitigating the country’s ongoing energy crisis.
Additionally, in Pakistan, the promotion of solar technology is expected to drive the use of alternative energy sources, bringing long-term economic benefits while positively impacting the environment.
