In anticipation of the highly anticipated potential fight between Threads CEO and Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter chief Elon Musk, Zuckerberg recently announced a significant achievement in combative sports – he has become a Blue Belt in jiu-jitsu.
The 39-year-old Zuckerberg took to Instagram to pay tribute to his coach, Dave Camarillo, congratulating him on receiving a fifth-degree Black Belt. He shared pictures of the event and expressed gratitude to his coach for teaching him about both fighting and life during their training sessions.
Zuckerberg also mentioned that he is honored to be promoted to compete at the blue belt level for the Guerilla Jiu-Jitsu San Jose team.

Camarillo spoke highly of Zuckerberg’s dedication and focus on jiu-jitsu, praising his determination and passion for the sport. He noted that despite Zuckerberg’s success in the business world, he doesn’t shy away from the physical challenges of jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts (MMA).
As the potential fight with Musk remains a topic of interest, Zuckerberg has been diligently training with professionals, expressing his desire to further refine his skills by training with legendary grappler Gordon Ryan.
On the other hand, Musk has also been actively preparing for the fight, seen training with former MMA star Georges St-Pierre (GSP).
Notably, legendary UFC fighter Conor McGregor expressed his interest in helping Musk train against Zuckerberg if the fight takes place in the UFC octagon. However, the logistics and organization of the fight are yet to be confirmed.
