The Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus officially took office as the head of the temporary administration in Bangladesh on Thursday.
The ceremony occurred on Thursday evening at 9 PM, with President Mohammed Shahabuddin overseeing the oath ceremony at Durbar Hall.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin presided over the ceremony at Bangabhaban, commencing at 9 pm. 13 of the 16 council members swore their oaths at the event, while the other three will do it at a later time.
Prof. Yunus, who established Grameen Bank and received the Nobel Peace Prize, will act as the Chief Advisor for the temporary government.
