Afghanistan set a target of 149 runs for the Aussies, in Saint Vincent, West Indies. In response, the Australian team was bowled out for 127 runs in 19.2 overs. For Australia, Glenn Maxwell scored 59, Mitchell Marsh 12, and Marcus Stoinis 11 runs.
From Afghanistan, Gulbadin Naib took four wickets, Naveen-ul-Haq took three, and Rashid Khan took one.
Earlier, Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first. Afghanistan scored 148 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Afghanistan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 60, Ibrahim Zadran 51, and Karim Janat 13 runs.
