    Renowned journalist Mohsin Zaheer wins Best Reporter of the Year Award in New Jersey,

    Best Reporter of the Year Award presented by The Center for Cooperative Media and The NJ News Commons at Montclair State University in New Jersey.

    I am both humbled and honored to have received the ‘Excellence in Local News Award’ presented by the Center for Cooperative Media and The NJ News Commons. The award was presented to me by Joe Amditis, Assistant Director of Center for Cooperative Media, at a graceful award ceremony held in New Jersey. I was recognized for my multimedia reporting on the voting rights of Pakistani Americans in New Jersey, an issue that is often complicated by language barriers faced by immigrant communities.

    The Center for Cooperative Media is a program within the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University in New Jersey, and the NJ News Commons is its flagship project. I am extremely grateful to everyone at the Center for Cooperative Media and The NJ News Commons for this honor, recognition, and encouragement.
