Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) quid Nawaz Sharif is expected to return to Pakistan on October 15 this year as per family discussions, private TV channel Geo News reported.
It was also reported that the matter of the date was discussed between Nawaz, and his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif and close family members in London.
Earlier, Nawaz will return to Pakistan by mid-September; however, the party’s plans changed in the last few days after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced that elections will not take place within 90 days.
According to family sources, an official date of October 15 has been confirmed for Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan, replacing his earlier planned arrival in mid-September.
Joining the scenario, PMLN President Shahbaz Sharif has recently landed in London to hold discussions with Nawaz Sharif.
It is noteworthy here that the arrangements are underway to extend a hearty reception, with the goal of amassing around one million well-wishers to welcome him upon his homecoming.
This fervent reception aims to mirror the sentiments of individuals from every corner of Pakistan, signifying a collective expression of support.
The journey back to Pakistan follows Nawaz Sharif’s departure for London on November 19, 2019, seeking medical treatment subsequent to the Lahore High Court’s sanction for a four-week overseas travel.
PMLN leaders have consistently maintained, since Nawaz Sharif’s departure for London, that the party leader will make his way back to the nation and stand alongside his fellow citizens prior to the upcoming general elections.
The channel sources said, the family also alleged that the Khan-led government and his backers had tried to poison Nawaz. He was treated at the Harley Street Clinic and London Bridge Hospital for four months.
The three-time prime minister had been diagnosed with an immune system disorder and doctors in Pakistan recommended that he should go abroad for treatment as his condition continued to deteriorate despite the best possible care in the country.
