23 People Killed in Heavy Rains and Flooding in Thailand

Twenty-three people have been killed in Thailand due to heavy rains and flooding, while more than 700,000 people have been affected in the capital Bangkok.

According to foreign media reports, rain and flooding that began in mid-September have affected more than 700,000 people in Bangkok. The ongoing situation has caused flooding in different parts of the capital, with water still remaining in some areas.

Thailand’s disaster management agency said that 23 people have so far died in various incidents caused by the floods and heavy rains. Four of those who died were from Bangkok.

According to media reports, several areas of Bangkok experienced flooding, while water has not yet been drained from some parts of the city. Schools remained closed for a second consecutive day due to the situation.

The presence of standing water on roads and in low-lying areas has also affected routine activities. The flooding and heavy rains have continued to disrupt normal life in different parts of Bangkok, while authorities have reported deaths linked to various incidents caused by the weather conditions.
