Police in Lahore have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl after allegedly luring her with the promise of a higher-paying job.
According to Model Town SP Asad Ali, the girl worked at a house in Bahar Colony. The suspect allegedly offered her a job with a higher salary and took her to a house located at an undisclosed location.
SP Model Town Asad Ali said the suspect allegedly gave the girl a sedative before sexually assaulting her. He also allegedly recorded an obscene video of the girl and continued to blackmail her using the video.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Owais, has been arrested and a case has been registered against him. The accused has been handed over to the Gender Cell for further investigation.
SP Model Town Asad Ali said that people involved in the exploitation of women would not be given any concession.
