Torrential rains and flash floods in Battagram and Mansehra killed four people, damaged homes and shops, swept away a child, and triggered rescue operations.

Torrential rain and flash floods caused widespread damage in parts of Battagram and Mansehra, leaving four people dead and damaging homes, shops and other properties.
In Battagram’s Allai tehsil, particularly the Kund area, a sudden flash flood caused by heavy rain killed a five-year-old boy, while a seven-year-old girl was swept away in a rainwater channel. Several properties near the watercourse were also severely damaged, while livestock were swept away by floodwaters.
In Mansehra city and surrounding areas, a short spell of torrential rain and hail before sunset caused significant damage. Roads were flooded, while a woman and a girl were swept away in a drain on Akbar Khan Road.
Rescue officials recovered the body of the woman from Lari Adda, while a search operation for the missing girl was continuing.
