Producer Nina Kashif has revealed that Zara Noor Abbas was among the actresses considered for Beena in Aap Ki Izzat before Urwa Hocane ultimately took on the demanding role.

Producer Nina Kashif has revealed an interesting detail about the casting of Aap Ki Izzat, disclosing that several actresses were considered for the central character Beena before Urwa Hocane was finalized.
Among those considered was Zara Noor Abbas, adding another layer to the casting journey behind one of the most talked-about Pakistani dramas of 2026.
Kashif explained that television projects can go through several potential casts before production begins. Actors may become unavailable because of scheduling conflicts, while discussions over remuneration and other production considerations can also affect casting decisions.
She suggested that the process ultimately led the team toward Urwa, describing the role as one that was meant for the actress.
The casting process was particularly important because Beena is a demanding character who appears across different stages of her life. The role requires the actress to portray both a young woman and a married mother while conveying the emotional changes that take place within her relationship.
Written by Umera Ahmed, directed by Saife Hassan and produced by Nina Kashif and Momina Duraid, Aap Ki Izzat stars Urwa Hocane as Beena opposite Ahsan Khan as Tabish. Sania Saeed and Saif Ali Khan are also part of the principal cast.
The drama revolves around Beena and Tabish, whose relationship begins with love but gradually becomes strained by emotional distance, changing priorities and a lack of appreciation and respect.
