Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) desire to secure an NRO for its founder is reaching new heights.
In a statement, Khawaja Asif said that today, one of the many self-proclaimed founders of PTI has received extraordinary relief from the judiciary. He said the same person had previously demanded that other politicians be sent to prison.
He added that in the past, demands were also made to keep political opponents behind bars and make their lives more difficult. However, the same self-styled “Iron Man” is now the subject of appeals for his transfer from prison to a hospital.
Khawaja Asif said he has no objection to providing the PTI founder with immediate and complete medical facilities. However, he said that before celebrating the court’s decision, PTI should answer questions regarding contradictions in its political narrative.
