On the paper leak allegations that triggered the protests, Fatehi was unequivocal. “Reports about the question paper leak have left countless people disappointed, exhausted and heartbroken.”
She reserved her most painful words for the families of students who took their own lives in the aftermath of the NEET controversy. “My special sympathies are with the families who have lost their children. The news of student suicides is extremely heartbreaking and devastating.”
She expressed hope that a genuine solution to the crisis would emerge.
