At least 24 people were killed and several others injured after a passenger bus plunged into a deep ravine in the Dana Sar area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, authorities said.
According to Deputy Commissioner Sherani Wali Khan Kakar, rescue teams and ambulances from the district administration rushed to the scene immediately after the crash. Emergency responders launched rescue operations to recover victims and assist the injured.
Officials said more than 24 people lost their lives in the tragic accident, while several injured passengers were shifted for medical treatment. Rescue efforts were still underway as teams worked to reach those affected in the difficult terrain.
Deputy Commissioner Hazrat Wali Kakar confirmed that the rescue operation was ongoing, with authorities continuing efforts to evacuate the injured and recover those trapped. The cause of the crash has not yet been officially disclosed.
