A police sub-inspector was found shot dead inside a suspicious white car in the Defence C police jurisdiction on Lahore’s Ring Road, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
According to police officials, the vehicle had been parked on the roadside for an unusually long time, raising suspicion among Ring Road patrol officers. When police checked the car, they discovered Sub-Inspector Tahir dead in the driver’s seat with apparent gunshot wounds.
Initial reports suggest the officer was shot and killed inside the vehicle, though investigators have not yet disclosed the motive behind the murder.
Following the discovery, senior police officials, including the SP Cantt, rushed to the scene along with a heavy police contingent and forensic teams. The area was immediately cordoned off while evidence was collected from the vehicle and the surrounding location.
