US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran will not receive any relief unless a new agreement is reached, saying Washington will wait a few days for Tehran’s response while keeping all options open.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said Iran “must make a deal,” adding that the United States would not rush its decisions. He claimed that reaching an agreement would be beneficial for all sides, but insisted that if talks fail, “we know what happens next,” signaling potential consequences without specifying details.
Trump also said the US is in contact with what he described as “smart people inside Iran,” and claimed Tehran is eager to reach a deal. He further alleged that Iran is facing severe economic pressure and public frustration due to its internal conditions.
Reiterating a hardline stance, he said the US is prepared for any necessary action and suggested that Iran had suffered significant setbacks. He also stated that the situation remains fluid and more developments could follow in the coming days, while emphasizing there is “no urgency” in finalizing a deal.
In a separate remark, Trump described Cuba as a “failed state,” saying its people are facing serious hardships and that support for the Cuban population is needed.
