The Punjab Home Department has imposed Section 144 across the province during Eid-ul-Adha to maintain public safety and sanitation.
According to the department’s spokesperson, the restrictions will remain in effect from Wednesday, May 27, to Tuesday, June 2.
Under the issued orders, roasting or burning animal heads and trotters at public places has been prohibited.
The notification also bans swimming and bathing in rivers, lakes, canals, and dams during the Eid holidays.
In addition, dumping animal waste and offal into manholes, drains, or canals has been strictly prohibited.
Authorities warned that legal action will be taken against anyone violating the imposed restrictions.
