Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has revealed that she is allegedly facing online harassment, cyberbullying, and death threats, prompting her to publicly appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for help.
In a series of social media posts, the actress claimed that an individual allegedly linked to a political figure has subjected her and her family to severe mental stress and intimidation. Momina stated that she has repeatedly filed complaints with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), FIA, and Punjab Police, but no effective action has been taken due to alleged political influence.
The actress further alleged that instead of receiving justice, attempts were made to suppress her complaints, while influential circles allegedly pressured her to remain silent. She said that after pursuing legal action, her family also began receiving serious threats.
Momina Iqbal demanded immediate and impartial investigations, protection for her family, and strict legal action against those involved. She warned that if authorities continue to ignore the matter, she will hold a press conference and present all evidence publicly.
Appealing directly to CM Maryam Nawaz, the actress urged the Punjab government to ensure transparent legal proceedings and take action against anyone misusing authority or obstructing justice.
Following her statement, many social media users and fans expressed solidarity with the actress, calling on authorities to take swift action and ensure protection for women against harassment and threats.
