KARACHI: Alleged drug suspect Anmol alias “Pinky,” widely referred to as the “Cocaine Queen,” caused a scene during her appearance before a judicial magistrate in Karachi’s South district court,
claiming she had been illegally detained and tortured for 22 days.
According to court proceedings, Anmol shouted during the hearing that police officials had subjected her to physical abuse after arresting her in Lahore and bringing her to Karachi. She further alleged that false cases had been registered against her.
“I have been picked up for 22 days and tortured,” she told the court while protesting loudly during the hearing.
The presiding judge attempted to calm the situation and remarked that no one would be allowed to harass her inside the courtroom.
The judge also assured that both the accused and her lawyer would be given a fair chance to present their stance.
The case has drawn attention due to the serious allegations made by the suspect regarding unlawful detention and police misconduct.
