ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s mobile telecom sector recorded minor but notable market shifts in March 2026, with Ufone continuing its upward trend while major operators Jazz and Zong experienced slight declines in market share.
According to official telecom data reported by TechJuice, Jazz remained Pakistan’s largest mobile operator with a 36.56% market share in March, slightly down from 36.58% in February.
Zong retained its position as the country’s second-largest telecom operator, though its market share slipped from 26.55% in February to 26.47% in March.
Telenor Pakistan also posted a marginal decline, with its share decreasing from 21.4% to 21.38% during the same period, reflecting continued subscriber movement within the competitive telecom landscape.
In contrast, Ufone recorded steady growth, with its market share increasing from 14.43% in February to 14.54% in March, signaling gradual subscriber gains and stronger market traction.
Meanwhile, the Special Communications Organization (SCO) maintained a stable market presence with a 1.05% share.
Industry analysts say Pakistan’s telecom sector remains intensely competitive as operators continue to expand network coverage, offer aggressive internet packages, and invest in digital services to retain customers.
Experts believe the proposed Ufone-Telenor merger and Pakistan’s evolving 5G rollout could significantly reshape the country’s telecom market in the coming months.
