Bangladesh seal ODI series with 11-run win over Pakistan despite Salman Agha century

Bangladesh clinched the ODI series 2-1 after defeating Pakistan by 11 runs in Mirpur, overcoming a fighting century from Salman Ali Agha in a tense final-over finish.

Bangladesh national cricket team defeated Pakistan national cricket team by 11 runs in the third One Day International to secure a 2–1 series victory at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

The hosts posted a competitive 290-run target, powered by a brilliant maiden century from Tanzid Hasan.

Tanzid Hasan sets the tone for Bangladesh
Bangladesh’s innings was anchored by Tanzid Hasan, who struck his first ODI hundred, providing the foundation for a strong total.

Pakistan bowlers fought back during the middle overs, with Haris Rauf emerging as the standout performer, finishing with 3 wickets for 52 runs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed also chipped in with a wicket each, but Bangladesh still managed to set Pakistan a challenging 291-run target.

Salman Agha’s century sparks Pakistan fightback
Pakistan’s chase began poorly as early wickets left them struggling at 17 for 3, and the pressure intensified when they slipped further to 82 for 5.

However, Salman Ali Agha staged a superb counterattack, scoring a magnificent 106 off 98 balls, including nine fours and four sixes, to revive Pakistan’s hopes.

His aggressive knock kept Pakistan within striking distance during the latter stages of the chase.

Bangladesh hold nerve in tense finish
Late contributions from Saad Masood (38) and captain Shaheen Afridi (37) kept Pakistan in contention, pushing the game deep into the final overs.

But Bangladesh bowlers held their composure under pressure, eventually bowling Pakistan out for 279 on the final ball of the innings.

The narrow victory sealed a memorable series win for Bangladesh on home soil, while Pakistan were left ruing early wickets despite Agha’s heroic century.
