A heartbreaking incident took place in Jhang, where a man allegedly shot and killed his wife and young daughter during a domestic dispute. Police have arrested the suspect and recovered the weapon used in the crime.
According to initial reports, the incident happened around 8:45 AM in the Khoh Kodai Wala area of Ali Abad, within the limits of Kotwali Police Station. Local sources say the suspect, identified as Mulaim Hussain, opened fire on his wife Shazia Bibi (35) and daughter Aqsa Rani (19), killing them on the spot.
The complaint was filed by Sajjad, a cousin of the suspect. He stated that there had been tension in the family for some time. Aqsa’s marriage was earlier fixed with the suspect’s sister Shehnaz Bibi’s son, Muhammad Ali. However, the mother and daughter later refused to accept the proposal, which led to ongoing arguments at home.
On the morning of the incident, the suspect reportedly questioned his wife and daughter about their mobile phone use and their communication with others. The argument escalated, and in anger, he allegedly fired shots at both of them with a 30-bore pistol.
Sources also claim that the suspect was addicted to ice (methamphetamine), which often caused fights at home.
Police arrived quickly, arrested the accused, and seized the murder weapon. The bodies have been shifted to the hospital for legal formalities, and further investigation is underway.
Police officials have assured that the case will be thoroughly investigated and strict legal action will be taken against the killer.
