After a brief rise yesterday, gold price in Pakistan today dropped sharply as global rates declined. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,500 per tola, bringing it down to Rs420,362.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs3,001, reaching Rs360,392. For 22-karat gold, 10 grams were sold at Rs330,263, showing a drop of Rs2,859 compared to the previous day. The continuous fall highlights how international trends directly impact the local gold market.
In the global market, gold dropped by $35, settling at $3,980 per ounce. Analysts say this fall in international prices and the strengthening of global currencies are the main reasons behind the decline. The gold price in Pakistan today reflects cautious investor behavior as markets respond to global economic shifts.
Silver rates also moved downward. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs130, now selling at Rs5,022, while 10 grams were priced at Rs4,305.
Experts note that changes in the interbank exchange rate and global gold demand continue to play a major role in determining local prices. Investors are closely watching both the international gold rate and currency fluctuations to plan their next moves.
The latest dip serves as a reminder that Pakistan’s gold prices remain highly sensitive to global market movements and investor sentiment.
