Sharjah, UAE – The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) has announced that the 29th edition of the World Investment Conference (WIC) will be held in Sharjah from October 22 to 24, 2025. This marks the first time the emirate will host the prestigious global investment forum.
The announcement was made following the signing of a Host Agreement between WAIPA, the UAE Ministry of Investment, and the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah). The signing ceremony was attended by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), H.E. Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, UAE Minister of Investment, and Dr. James Zhan, Chairman of the Executive Board of WIC.
The conference will be held in conjunction with the Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF) at the Expo Centre Sharjah, creating a unified platform for dialogue on global investment trends, sustainable development, and cross-border partnerships.

Hosting the WIC underscores Sharjah’s growing prominence as a nexus for international investment and collaboration. The emirate has been actively enhancing its investment landscape, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and economic diversification.
