Lahore (MediaBites web desk) – Pakistani professional wrestler Athar Zahid defeated Indian wrestler Singham Dubey in a wrestling mega event held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Athar Zahid, who won the title of the International Championship, faced tough competition throughout the event. He dedicated his victory to the entire nation, calling it a triumph for all.
Expressing pride and dedication for his country, 29-year-old Athar Zahid stated, “This victory is not just mine alone, but a great win for Pakistan and its 250 million people. I am bringing the title of the International Championship home.”
Athar Zahid’s journey in this championship began earlier this year when he secured his spot in the tournament by winning the Fight or Die Championship. He clinched this victory on May 4th at the WrestleMax 3 event held at Kashmir Park in Karachi, Sindh, with his signature move, The Desert Slam.
Athar Zahid was born in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, and is the first Saudi-born Pakistani professional wrestler. He honed his wrestling skills under the guidance of famous former WWE superstar Kalisto.
