- Sleep early the night before with the intention of gaining strength for worship, so even your sleep becomes an act of reward.
- Wake up before Fajr for Suhoor, as Allah’s mercy descends upon those who eat the pre-dawn meal.
- Pray at least four Rak’ahs of Tahajjud and sincerely ask Allah for goodness in this life and the Hereafter.
- Spend time before Fajr in Istighfar (seeking forgiveness) so you may be counted among those who seek forgiveness in the blessed hours before dawn.
- Prepare for Fajr prayer a few minutes before the Adhan and reflect on your sins being washed away during wudu.
- After wudu, recite:
“Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluh. Allahumma aj‘alni min at-tawwabin waj‘alni min al-mutatahhirin.”According to Hadith, the eight gates of Paradise are opened for the person who recites this dua after ablution.
- After Fajr, remain seated on your prayer mat until shortly after sunrise while engaging in remembrance of Allah.
- Begin reciting Takbeer immediately after prayers throughout the day.
- Spend time until Ishraq in Qur’an recitation, Tasbeeh, Tahleel, and morning Adhkar.
- After sunrise, pray two Rak’ahs of Ishraq prayer.
- If possible, dedicate the entire day to worship, dhikr, and dua while fully trusting in Allah’s mercy and acceptance.
- If needed, take a short rest to regain strength for worship later in the day.
- Upon waking, perform wudu again and pray at least four Rak’ahs of Chasht prayer.
- Keep your worship fresh by alternating between Qur’an recitation, Takbeer, Tasbeeh and supplication.
- After Dhuhr prayer, continue to remember Allah and recite the Qur’an.
- Frequently recite:
“La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.”This is considered among the best forms of remembrance and supplication on the Day of Arafah.
- Begin evening Adhkar after Asr prayer.
- About an hour before Maghrib, spend time reciting the Qur’an and making emotional, sincere dua. Pray especially for oppressed Muslims around the world, including the people of Palestine.
- Ask Allah to let the sun of Arafah set while your name has been written among those freed from Hellfire.
- Never think your worship makes you better than others. Acceptance belongs only to Allah. Remain humble and ask for sincerity and steadfastness.
- Break your fast immediately at Maghrib, because the dua of a fasting person is not rejected.
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, والله أكبر ولله الحمد.
