World-renowned polyglot and digital content creator Yuji Beleza, famous for speaking more than 40 languages fluently, captivated audiences during his first-ever appearance at the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2025). The global influencer surprised fans by announcing that he is now learning Arabic, describing it as “the natural next step” in his linguistic journey.
At the SIBF Social Media Station, Yuji drew massive crowds of admirers eager for selfies, autographs, and candid conversations. Known for his spontaneous street interviews that transcend cultural and linguistic boundaries, the 27-year-old Japanese-Irish creator is celebrated for spreading positivity and cultural understanding through his content.
Yuji has built a massive digital community with 7.2 million followers on TikTok, 5.9 million on Instagram, and over 768,000 subscribers on YouTube, where his multilingual videos consistently go viral. Speaking to young content creators at the event, Yuji shared his philosophy:
“It was never just about the followers, but about sparking genuine human connections through language. Take risks, stay authentic, and do what excites you — even if you fail a few times.”
Born in Kyoto, Japan, to a Japanese father and an Irish mother, Yuji was raised between two cultures — a background that sparked his fascination with language and identity. His passion began as a teenager in Ireland when he started learning the languages of his Eastern European neighbors. Today, he speaks an extraordinary range of languages including Kazakh, Turkish, Serbian, Russian, Spanish, German, Danish, and English, among others.
In 2024, Yuji’s global cultural impact earned him the title of Tourism Ambassador of Kazakhstan, in recognition of his efforts to promote cross-cultural understanding.
Praising Sharjah’s cultural inclusivity, Yuji said:
“Sharjah feels like a home for cultures. Learning Arabic here feels like the natural next step in my journey.”
His participation at SIBF 2025 reinforces Sharjah’s global reputation as a hub for knowledge, creativity, and multicultural dialogue — a place where books, ideas, and people come together to celebrate the power of connection.
