For the past two days, a bitter and acrimonious conversation has been ongoing between Sohail Ahmed and Aftab Iqbal. Emotions are running high, with even some of my friends labeling Sohail Ahmed as a legend and portraying him as a compassionate individual, while branding Aftab as arrogant and disrespectful.
Firstly, it must be acknowledged that individuals like Sohail Ahmed are not adept at acting. Whatever roles they are given, they fail to portray them convincingly, unlike the legendary Moin Akhtar, who effortlessly immersed himself in every character.
Just watch all the episodes of Loose Talk; poor Sohail Ahmed couldn’t even come close. Even Azizi couldn’t compete Amanullah, Babu barral and even late Nanna. Actors like Sohail Ahmed never want new talent to emerge in the market. They hinder rather than pave the way for others.
If this gentleman has ever helped anyone, let him come forward and show it. Meanwhile, Aftab Iqbal is a trendsetter. Although he may have his flaws as a human, as soon as he got the opportunity, he brought forward countless talents, providing them with a respected platform. He has supported hundreds of families. Whereas Sohail Ahmed doesn’t even let anyone sit with him.
Furthermore, he is a sycophant. When faced with the wealth and power of influential individuals, he becomes subservient. On the other hand, Aftab Iqbal has so much self-respect that he never paid heed to the whims of either the military or the elites’ wealth. And his arrogance is such that even if a child from the street calls Aftab, he listens attentively. Meanwhile, Sohail Ahmed was busy labeling his companions as insects and maggots.
Let’s not forget the words of Faqir Muhammad Faqir, who takes pride in Sohail Ahmed. Shouldn’t Aftab also take pride in Zafar Iqbal?
And listen, a person’s love for their homeland truly reflects their humanity. Prophet Muhammad came to Medina, but his heart never left Mecca. Sohail Ahmed has never even mentioned his village, whereas it bothers him when Aftab Iqbal mentions his village, city, or country.
Brothers, I can discuss some of Aftab Iqbal’s matters, as he is usually more informed than others and has a habit of boasting, but these things are found in almost all humans. However, when they ascend the ladder of success, they generally exhibit this behavior.
But one thing is certain, Sohail Ahmed deliberately attacked Aftab to divert people’s attention towards new issues because the very next day, he was seen cozying up to Aleem Khan.
So, remember, Sohail Ahmed should know that Zafar Iqbal is a renowned poet in the subcontinent, while Faqir Muhammad Faqir holds a much higher position in Punjab. But these days, Afzal Sahir is also a bigger name than Faqir Sahib.
