Lahore(Media Bites)-The reason behind the suicide of Punjab University student Umm-e-Habiba has revealed. According to family sources, she took her life due to failure in a romantic relationship.
Umm-e-Habiba, who committed suicide last night in Hostel No. 8 of Punjab University, had her father refuse any legal action. The family stated they do not suspect anyone and do not wish to have an autopsy performed.
Following the parents’ refusal to pursue any legal proceedings, the police completed their formalities and handed over the body to the family. The family later took her remains to their hometown, Sialkot, for burial.
The deceased was a fifth-semester student at the Institute of Education and Research. Fellow students at the university have expressed deep sorrow over her passing.
